Abstract:
Household, the most basic component of society, connects individuals and society by pursuing the maximization of utility and family welfare in the limited allocation of resources.
In order to fully and systematically depict the development status of rural households and rural society in China，Based on the three rounds of surveys from 2011 to 2015, Zhejiang University launched the fourth round of The China Rural Household Panel Survey (CRHPS) in 2017 to continuously track and investigate all aspects of the grass-roots level of rural households and regularly record all-round changes of rural society with micro-data. Based on this systematic and continuous survey, this book makes a scientific analysis of social development in rural China, including the basic structure, employment situation, income and expenditure, social security, education, and community environment of rural household, as well as the governance and public services of rural communities. With the implementation of poverty reduction, the focus of poverty alleviation has gradually shifted from absolute poverty to relative poverty. Therefore, maintaining the basic contents and framework, this book focuses on the specific performance of relatively poor households in rural development from the perspective of relative poverty.
家庭，作为社会最基本的组成部分，通过在有限的资源配置中追求效用最大化和家庭福利最大化将个人与社会联系起来。为了全面、系统地描述我国农村家庭和农村社会的发展状况，在2011-2015三轮调查基础上，浙江大学于2017年开展了第四轮CRHPS，不断跟踪调查农村家庭基层水平的各个方面，定期用微观数据记录农村社会的全面变化。本书在系统、连续的调查基础上，对中国农村社会发展进行科学分析，包括农村家庭的基本结构、就业情况、收支情况、社会保障、教育，以及农村社区治理与公共服务。当前，随着减贫工作的开展落实，消除贫困的工作重点逐渐从绝对贫困转为相对贫困。为此，本书在基本的内容和框架下，从相对贫困的视角出发，着重研究了相对贫困家庭在农村发展中的具体表现。

Abstract:
The agricultural household is the basic organizational unit that combines production and social life in rural society. In rural economic activities, agricultural households are both producers of agricultural products and suppliers of labor. They maximize household utility by allocating various production resources. The China Rural Household Panel Survey (CRHPS) launched by Zhejiang University collected large representative samples of data from 2015 and 2017 and provided a detailed record of the economic activities of agricultural households in China. Based on the survey, this book focuses on the theme of relative poverty and provides a systematic analysis of the economic activities of rural households in three main aspects: agricultural production and management, land utility and transfer, and migration of rural households and citizenization of migrant workers. Besides, with the imminent elimination of absolute poverty, the issue of relative poverty is growing in importance. Based on the analysis of the economic activities of rural households, this book focuses on the performance of relatively poor households in terms of agricultural production, land transfer, non-farm employment and social security, and provides a basic mapping of the situation of relatively poor households in rural China, so as to provide a scientific basis for improving the living standards of rural households, establishing a long-term mechanism for poverty alleviation.
农村家庭是农村社会生产与社会生活相结合的基本组织单位。在农村经济活动中，农村家庭既是农产品的生产者，又是劳动力的供给者。他们通过分配各种生产资源来实现家庭效用最大化。浙江大学发起的中国农村家庭追踪调查(CRHPS)收集了大量2015年至2017年代表性的数据样本，详细记录了中国农村家庭的经济活动。在此基础上，本书围绕相对贫困这一主题，从农业生产经营、土地利用与流转、农村家庭迁移与农民工市民化三个主要方面对农村家庭的经济活动进行了系统分析。此外，随着绝对贫困即将消除，相对贫困问题日益重要。本书在分析农村家庭经济活动的基础上，重点关注相对贫困家庭在农业生产、土地流转、非农就业、社会保障等方面的表现，提供中国农村相对贫困家庭状况的基本映射，为提高农村家庭生活水平、建立扶贫长效机制提供科学依据。
