近日，浙江大学中国农村发展研究院史新杰研究员（通讯作者）与首都经济贸易大学李红阳博士（讲师）、南开大学邵敏副教授合作撰写的论文——The impact of trade liberalization on individual fertility intention: Empirical evidence from China，被人口学知名期刊Population, Space and Place录用并在线发表。该期刊最新影响因子为3.814，在SSCI人口学（Demography）类排名第三，属于JCR一区杂志。

文章摘要：

How trade liberalization affects a country's fertility has been verified by somestudies, but little is known about how export trade liberalization impacts individualfertility intention. Using China Health and Nutrition Survey data from 1997 to 2011and regression analysis, this study finds that a decline in the average external tariffsignificantly improves the fertility intentions of married women. This conclusionremains robust after overcoming endogeneity problems using an alternative externalproxy variable, adopting different average tariff calculation methods, adding othercontrol variables, and considering the son preference. The mechanism test showsthat export trade liberalization can affect married women's fertility intentions byaffecting family income; moreover, the income effect dominates the substitution andintra‐marital income gap effects. This study provides a new perspective forunderstanding changes in fertility intention in developing countries. This perspectivecan promote academic research progress in this field and be of great significance informulating effective policies to improve fertility intention.

史新杰，获得澳大利亚国立大学经济学博士与浙江大学管理学博士，现为浙江大学“百人计划”研究员、博士生导师，任教于浙江大学公共管理学院农经系、浙江大学中国农村发展研究院（CARD）。史新杰博士的研究重点关注农村经济社会转型发展的一系列议题，主要包括：（1）农村的要素配置（农村劳动力流动和土地流转）对农业生产、收入、消费等方面产生的影响；（2）农村人口人力资本积累（农民工、留守人口的营养健康与教育相关议题）；（3）收入不平等、贫困与机会不平等。其成果发表于《管理世界》、Health Economics、World Development等国内外期刊。
