Call for Papers
On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Zhejiang University, we are pleased to host an International Doctoral Students Conference in May 2017 in Hangzhou, China. The conference is aimed at promoting the exchange of scientific research, ideological inspiration, cooperation and innovation among the world’s leading universities, as well as promoting the scientific and technological innovation capacity and competitiveness of doctoral candidates.
The conference theme is Communication, Inspiration, Innovation and Common Progress: Opportunities and Chanllenges Arises from Global Technological Revelution. We are going to invite doctoral students from top universities worldwide to discuss on technological reform, information technology, modern agriculture, medical treatment and health care, as well as innovation and development. The conference is expected to build a platform for communication, inspiration, innovation and common progress, where students canexpress their understanding and expectations on global development and social transformation. The conference will include keynote speeches by famous scholars, one plenary sessionand several seminars.

4. Target Participants
Doctoral candidates from the world’s top universities, colleges, scientific institutes and laboratories.
5. Paper Submission
Research presentations shall be arranged according to five sub-themes: technological reform, information technology, modern agriculture, medical treatment and health care, as well as innovation and development. The submitted papers should focus on, but not limited to, the themes below.

6. Requirements of Paper Submission
(1) All papers shallbe submitted to zjudsc120@126.com.
(2) The subject of the e-mail should be named according to “name of school - name of seminars”(see the scope of submission), and the name of the paper should be named as “the title of paper - institutions- name of submitter”.
(3)The deadline of paper submission is February28, 2017.
(4) The official languages of this conference are English and Chinese, exclusively. All submissions must be formatted correctly. Submissions that do not meet the guidelines will not be accepted. The official format and guidelines can be found in the annex.
(5) The individual presenting the paper must be a doctoral candidate at the time of submission.
(6) In the case of multiple authors, the names of authorsmust be clearly listed in the abstract. The submitting author needs to ensure that the presentation of the paper is approved by the university and co-authors.
(7) Both published and unpublished paperscanbe submitted, and the further publishing will not be affected. It should be noted that all of the accepted papers will be presented at the conference by poster or oral presentation. Participants must be fluent in English.
(8) Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent by e-mail in late March 2017. The specific conference date and presentation notes will be specified in invitaion letters .

7. Awards
This conference establishes several prizes including Best Paper Award and Best Presentation Award.
8. Extended Matters
(1) The DSC(Doctoral Students Conference)doesnot charge registration fee. The one-way transport (which is only available for economy class tickets,hard-berth sleeper tickets and economy class on bullet trains, CRH) and accommodation in double-bed rooms (i.e. each room has two beds with two persons sharing one room) will becovered by host units. Participants who would like to book a single room (one bed) and/or who would like to extend their stay will need to pay extra fees. Participants are also encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance.
(2) All of the accepted papers will be presented at the conference by poster or oral presentation. Participants must be fluent in English.
(3) The host willorganize free visiting tours to state key labortories and excellent companies.
(4) The enforcement rules and news feeds will be available at the official website of the 120th Anniversary of Zhejiang University http://120.zju.edu.cn/, and also the WeChat public platformof ZJU doctoral students union (wechat:zjudsu1999).
