【摘要】 进入转型期以来,中国农村人口高彩礼婚姻屡见不鲜,彩礼水平飙升。高彩礼给农民生活和农村发展带来了严重的负面影响,使新农村建设面临严峻挑战。文章通过构建经济学模型,结合转型期中国农村的经济社会特征,对比转型前的农村特征,具体分析了高彩礼婚姻产生并蔓延的原因。
